Therapy is an investment in mental wellbeing.
We get it, waiting isn't fun.
While we may not always be able to offer ongoing sessions immediately, we are committed to booking all new client initial consultations in promptly, so that we can get straight into introductory support.
We provide an enjoyable and engaging environment for children of all ages. We have a special interest in childhood development and are experienced in embedding assessment and interventions in play. Whether facing behavioural or emotional challenges, dealing with anxiety or overcoming life stressors such as trauma, family separations or grief, we are here to support. We work closely with parents, caregivers and teachers as we move toward therapy goals. Kate and Candice have a shared special interest in the neurobiology of attachment and apply this knowledge to their work.
Adolescence is an exciting yet stressful time, full of physical, social, cognitive and psychological changes. We all know, it’s not always a smooth ride. Young people begin to consider questions of belonging and often battle with both internal and external pressures. Our therapists are approachable, down to earth practitioners who readily build rapport with this age-group. We empower our young clients to set goals that are important to them, and honour their need for both independence and accompaniment.
Healthy co-parenting relationships are a predictor of wellbeing outcomes for children and adolescents. We work closely with families to understand their child’s needs and are well versed in advocating for families through referrals and recommendations. We also understand the complexities and challenges of separated families and we are passionate about strengthening parenting partnerships, regardless of what the family system looks like. Whatever your family is facing, working with a professional can help to illuminate common goals and provide support and strategies along the way.
At House of Mind, our trauma informed therapists see adults for a range of presentations, including depression, anxiety, PTSD and parenting or relationship stress. We are passionate about embedding connection to nature in our therapy and client experiences. This might look like
